<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>The bindery associated with Nicholas Spierinck saw a number of changes in the 1530s, with the introduction of a new set of rolls and small tools; those which had been used in the 1510s and 20s fell out of use. The general shifts towards pasteboard rather than wood, ties rather than clasps, and darker brown leather are all exemplified in its output. Pastedowns of medieval manuscript waste continued to be commonly found in Cambridge bindings until about 1560.</p><p>Pasteboard covered with dark brown calfskin, blind-tooled including roll Oldham HM.h(28).
