<p style='text-align: justify;'>These two antennae were part of the 'War Booty' brought back to the UK after the end of the Second World War. They were use by the burgeoning radio astronomy group in early experiments, perhaps the most important being the precise location of the radio source Cygnus A and Cas A by F. Graham Smith, future Astronomer Royal.</p>
