<p style='text-align: justify;'>Sir Richard Tetley Glazebrook was a demonstrator at the Laboratory from 1880 to 1890. His research focused on electrical standards, in particular, the precise determination of the value of the ohm, and aviation. He became the first Director of the National Physical Laboratory.</p>
