<p style='text-align: justify;'>Black and white snapshot of a lecture given by CTR Wilson in the Maxwell Lecture Theatre in 1933. The hatch to the left opened into a preparation room. It was later blocked up. The Lecture Theatre could contain up to 180 students, who could clearly observe experiments being carried out on the long oak bench at the front. The shutters could be completely closed for optical experiments and there were hatches in the ceiling for pendulums.</p>
