Cavendish Laboratory : Maxwell memorial window at Corsock church
Cavendish Laboratory

The window is a stained glass depiction of the three wise men looking at the star of Bethleiem. It was made and installed in Glenlair Parish Church in 1921 by Arthur J. Dix, Berners Street London. It was moved to the present Corsock church in 1947. The Greek inscription at the bottom reads," Every good gift and every perfect gift ". This should have been concluded by the phrase "is from above ", but the limited space did not allow this. This photograph may have been taken on the occasion of the Maxwell Centenary Celebrations in 1931.
