<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>White marble against a grey pyramidal background, carved with military trophies. Richard Bendyshe, grandson of Thomas Bendyshe (<b>25</b>) was commissioned an Ensign in 1721, served in the Royal Dragoons and Royal Welch Fusiliers, fought at Dettingen in 1743 (where George II led British and German forces to victory against the French), became a Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Marines and died a Major General 1777. </p><p>RCHME 1968; Atkinson 1956</p></p>
