<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>Upper part of a commercial letter from Abū l-Surūr, reporting that he had travelled from Mahdiyya to Alexandria, and containing a list of prices for various commodities, including 62 dinars for pepper. The journey from al-Mahdiyya to Alexandria took an unusually long time (35 days). Greetings are sent to Abū l-Iṣḥaq. From the late 11th or early 12th century.</p></p>
