<p style='text-align: justify;'>Court record detailing an agreement reached after domestic strife. A woman promises to behave well toward her husband, obey him, and act only with his consent. In return, he will stand security for his wife’s marriage contract. There is a reference to the possibility that neighbours might testify against the woman. In the hand of the court scribe Ḥalfon b. Manasseh (active 1100-1138 CE).</p>
