Abī l-Ḥayy in Fusṭāṭ, mentioning business with al-Rūm (= merchants from Byzantium), dealing with alum potash and other commodities. Dealings with various traders are mentioned, including Abu Saʿd (Nissim b. Nahray b. Nissim), Daʾūd b. Siḡmār, ʿArūs (b. Joseph?). Greetings are sent to Abū l-Faraj Hassūn (al-Safāqūṣī). Ca. 1080 CE.</p>
