<p style='text-align: justify;'>Part of a legal document in the handwriting of Ḥalfon b. Manasseh, dealing with a trading matter. The names of the parties involved are only partially preserved: Saʿadya ha-Kohen who is known as […], […] the elder who is known as Abū l-Ḵayr […], Yešuʿa the esteemed elder (הזקן הנכבד) ha-Levi [b. …] ha-Levi Head of the Community (ראש הקהל). Mention is made of ‘thirty bales of pepper’ and the ‘intercession of the elders’ (בוסאטה אלזקנים), as well as Abū l-Mufaḍḍal.</p>
