Cairo Genizah

<p style='text-align: justify;'>Legal document dated Av (5)276, written ארע״ה (ie, 1+200+70+5), of Creation (= 1516 CE). The document concerns a trading partnership, and refers to trade in various goods, including silk and sulphur. A note at the bottom mentions sulphur remaining with the Venetian consul (והגפרית שישאר אצל הקונשול של אלבנאדקה). The sum concerned is 1216 florins (פרחים). The full names of the parties are not preserved, but include Judah and Saʿīd. Isaac and Avner are also mentioned. </p>
