Šemarya, the Karaite teacher (המלמד הקרא), to the dignitary David ha-Sar, who is extolled in the most excessive manner. Continues on verso, where reference is made to Solomon’s dealings with ‘the doctors’ (הרופאים), before concluding in a similarly verbose and flattering style.</p>
