<p style='text-align: justify;'>(Draft of a) legal document: one party renounces its right of preemption to another under the condition that the house, which harboured the Babylonian synagogue, situated in the Bīr Jabr quarter of Alexandria and contiguous with the house of a priest (qissīs), may be sold only to a Jew; mentioning Abū l-Maʿānī Ibn al-Masjūnī and the priest Makārim. </p>
