<p style='text-align: justify;'>Recto: copy of a letter by Šerira Gaʾon to the community in Fusṭāṭ (original dated c. 970 CE), urging the renewal of ties with the Yešiva and soliciting donations and halakhic questions. It quotes numerous biblical and talmudic verses. Verso: geʾonic responsa on the subject of observing Passover onboard ship, travelling down the Nile on the Sabbath and the confiscation of a deceased wife’s property. </p>
