<p style='text-align: justify;'>A jobless scholar writes to a well-off acquaintance, named Abū l-Barakāt al-Kātib, asking him to help him to buy cloth, lamb and flour for the forthcoming Passover and expressing his wish to participate in the various offerings made in the temple on the holiday and eat from them. The recto opens with a long poem in honour of the addressee. </p>
