Cairo Genizah

<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>Marriage deed for Hayyim Ḥazaq (Ḥazāq, Hazak, חזאק) b . Solomon and Esther b. Elijah Zarouq (Zarouk or Zaroug, זרוק). The top is cut into a pointed oval shape. Large, square text surrounds the ketubba, in a single line, and some details in the deed itself are given in the same style, eg, שמנה מאות ריאלים, 'eight hundred riyals'. The deed is dated 10 Kislev 5583 (= 24 November 1822 CE) in Cairo 'which is next to Fusṭāṭ, Miṣrayim'.</p></p>
