<p style='text-align: justify;'> This manuscript is part of a mid-13th century Bible in Latin containing Jerome’s prologues to the books Job to Daniel. </p><p style='text-align: justify;'> The Vulgate edition of the Bible was re-translated from the original Hebrew and Greek by St. Jerome (c. 341 to 420) in the second half of the 4th century. As he completed his translations of each book, he recorded his observations and comments in an extensive correspondence with other scholars; these letters were subsequently collected and appended as prologues for those books where they survived. </p><p style='text-align: justify;'> The manuscript is not thought to have been made in Paris, because the text is markedly different from a standard Parisian Bible, but elsewhere in France or possibly in England. There are two main scribal hands. There are several corrections in the margins. Fol 1 and other leaves in the first quire are damaged.</p>
