Sandbach Tinne

Sends copies of letters received on the Helen, arrived from Demerara. Hopes ST or Captain Thomson will give MP or the agents intelligible directions by the Leonora how to proceed with the receiving and paying for the wrecks that he purchased. As to Mrs Birmingham's application, the best course appears to be to tell her they decline to interfere without the authority from Dr Waddell, which she says has not yet come to hand. They have written to C. Waterton to get him to do what Mr Rainy wants. They query the insurance of the Keiler's[?] cargo. They enclose a letter for Mr Rainy [not found], to be sent by the Boode, unless ST think it should be submitted to Mr Sandbach in Lancaster, on account of what is stated about the estate of J. H. Boode. [Address on this letter has been crossed out and replaced with 'Samuel Sandbach Esqr. | Post Office | Lancaster'.] They enclose a copy of their letter to Mr Wainwright [not found]. Impossible from the state of the dock to get the Boode away before Sunday.
