Sandbach Tinne : From McInroy Parker and Co., Glasgow, to Sandbach Tinne and Co., Liverpool, 1825-02-14
McInroy Parker and Co.
Sandbach Tinne

[Dated 1824 but presumably 1825, given date of annexed copies and reference to the Catherine (see previous folio).] The Leonora is ordered to go to sea if possible, if necessary with the help of a steam boat. 10 coal invoices are annexed. They regret having meddled with the Catherine, seeing that ST disapproved, and the writer is willing to take all responsibility and cost on himself, although it had Mr McInroy's sanction. Mr Parker thanks ST for the information about his son. They require ST's profit and loss account, and another paper, to close their books for 1824. The bill for deepening the Clyde about Glasgow has been abandoned; Mr P. considers it an immense thing for the Monklands Canal; he also thinks the Edinburgh-Glasgow railway will never go on.
