<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>Copied c. 1840-1850 in the village of Natbonala in Lahore, on Sunday 5 Rajab ... [year erased], for Miyan Muhammad Bakhsh, bookbinder of Lahore. The year of completion is also erased from the colophons on pp. 320 and 1136. Schmitz and Desai, Mughal and Persian painting, New Delhi, 2006, pp. 142-43, identify the work of three different artists.</p><p>The manuscript contains paintings of all the single combats in the Yazdah rukh episode, for which see Charles Melville, 'Serial killers', Persica 23 (2019-10).</p><p>The manuscript is paginated not foliated.</p><p>Initial investigation by Amin Mahdavi, whose note of the dimensions differs from those of Schmitz & Desai.</p></p>
