<p style='text-align: justify;'> A late-medieval English breviary, use of Sarum, finely executed and decorated. </p><p style='text-align: justify;'>While there is little that is unusual about the contents of the manuscript, additions and cancellations do reflect readership and usage over time: in the Kalendar, dates for the feasts of Frideswide, Winifred, Catherine, and the Translation of Etheldreda have been added in red, while later in the manuscript collects for Etheldreda, Osmund, David, Chad, Felix, Edmund King and Martyr, John of Beverley, Thomas of Hereford, Frideswide, and Winifred are added on ff. <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(937);return false;'>466r-467v</a>. Moreover, in the Proprium Sanctorum, lessons for Thomas Becket have been erased, most likely following his de-sanctification and the destruction of his shrine by decree of King Henry VIII in 1538.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>The manuscript was donated to the college by Algernon Peyton in 1661.</p>
