<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>This example was recorded in Nicolete Gray, <i>The Painted Inscriptions of David Jones</i> , no. 36 (p. 34). It was in the artist’s possession at his death. The first six lines come from the Nicene Creed; the final three lines come from the <i>Secreta</i> prayer of the Midnight Mass of Christmas. Gray suggests the work is related compositionally to <i>Pwy Yw’r Gwr</i>. </p></p>
