Letter addressing Joseph (אשיך יוסף) in Cairo (the address places him ללקאהרא אל מחרוצא), describing how the writer had left for Alexandria (סכנדריא) and gone to a ‘land of the Christians’ (לארץ׳ אל נצארא), via Turkey (תורכיא). It refers to Zikrī al-Qaṣmaṭīnī, and offers greetings to R. Abraham, the house of Rašīd, Ḵalaf, and šayḵ Harūn. Hand of the 16th century. Address on verso, which reveals that Joseph is the beadle of the synagogue (ליד אל מעלם שמש בית הכנסת, though possibly written שמס).
