<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>Three miniatures on two folios, identified by Robinson, p. 116, as coming from western India in the Sultanate period (mid-15th c.), partly on accont of the 'inferior quality' of the calligraphy. Reproduced in b/w on pp. 233-4. The text is on the reverse (verso) side of the folio, concerning the game of backgammon. The pictures are ordered here in the correct sequence, i.e. 354b (the story of Farud) comes before 354a.</p></p>
