<p style='text-align: justify;'>Notebook F: Middleton's notes on classical architecture and topography, mainly in Athens. He provides an index on the flyleaf. In particular his focus is upon the monuments on the acropolis of Athens and its environs: Temple of Olympian Zeus, Erectheum, Parthenon, Propylaea, Askleipion, Stoa of Eumenes, Theatre of Dionysius, Stoa of Attalus, Dipylon, Theseum. Also plans and drawings of the Heraion at Olympia, Tiryns, Mycenae, Corinth, Epidauros, Rome - Museum Papa Guilio (Villa Giulia), Greek coins, theatre at Tusculum. Regarding the 3 leaves of handwritten inserts: J.G. Frazer's letter, dated 18 October 1893, comments on the dating of the Lycosura and the peplos on statues of Athena. The bifolio list of 'Stillman's Etchings of Athens' - William J. Stillman was JHM's father-in-law. Notebook G: Notes and drawings of Greek inscriptions, mainly found in Athens. Pasted in to the gutter before the Index, a hand drawn sketch in pencil of the inscriptuion on the top of the frieze of the 'Adicula by the door of the Atrium Vestae', initialled and dated by JHM 'Rome 1884'. 3 inserts of printed text and image pasted in to the gutter at f.5v, f.7v, f.8v. </p>
