A detailed description of these 7 folios from a single ms. has been given by Mahmoud Lamei, Les manuscrits illustres orientaux .. III: Musee historique de Berne 1 (2005). We are grateful to Dr Lamei for making his article available and for lending us his photographs. The paintings have all been trimmed and fitted into marquetry frames.The folios are not numbered in accordance with their order in the text of the Shahnama.</p></p>
