<p style='text-align: justify;'> The records in this notebook continue the sequence for the 1903 sweet pea experiments documented in notebook <a href='/view/MS-ADD-10161-00001-00005-00002/1'> (MS Add.10161/1/5/2)</a>. Records are numbered 238-270. A loose page of notes was inserted after page <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(50);return false;'>270</a>; the remainder is blank. The general format of the record is that the parents are recorded as numbers with a superscript or sometimes as a named variety. Since sweet peas can be selfed, some crosses have only a single parent. The date of sowing and the date of planting out are recorded, together with other observations on the plants such as colour. </p>
