<p style='text-align: justify;'>A paper manuscript of the <i>Dharmopaplavakhaṇḍana</i> by Vedāntavāgīśa Bhaṭṭācārya. Vedāntavāgīśa was the student of a Vedānta scholar named Nārāyaṇa Sarasvatī. This work aims to refute claims to the effect that Hindu religious practices (<i>dharma</i>) such as sacrificing animals are reprehensible. The author begins his work by arguing that sacrificing animals does not involve gratuitous violence (<i>rāgaprāptahiṃsā</i>) and is tolerable within the boundaries of ritual practice. </p>
