This 19th-century North Indian manuscript contains a commentary on the Brahmasūtras by Rāmānanda Sarasvatī, entitled Brahmāmṛtavarṣiṇī. Rāmānanda Sarasvatī, who may have lived in "the early part of the seventeenth century" (Dasgupta 1932: 103), was an exponent of the Vivaraṇa school of Advaita Vedānta, as testified by the fact that he also probably authored "the last important work on the Vivaraṇa line" (ibid.), the Vivaraṇopanyāsa. He was the student of Govindānanda Sarasvatī, the author of the Ratnaprabhā, a commentary on the Brahmasūtrabhāṣya by Śaṅkara.
